Gustav 5am: hurricane force winds affecting Louisiana
A weather station at the very end of the Mississippi Delta just reported a sustained wind speed of 76mph and a gust of 108mph. In addition, the station reported an atmospheric pressure of 986mb and pressure falling at a rate of roughly 5-6mb per hour. Radar data suggests that Gustav’s eastern eyewall could brush by this station over the next hour or two, so conditions will probably get a little more intense there before they begun to drop off again.
I should really go to bed now. See y’all in the morning when I wake up.
