Jimmy

You could say that this blog is actually 5-blogs-in-one:

1. A Blog of Personality. E.g. about the Life and Times of Jimmy.
2. A Blog of Politics. Jimmy is a liberal/progressive and very passionate about lots of issues. Being of the Internet Generation, he finds blogging to be the best tool to share this passion with the world.
3. A Blog of Weather. A future meteorologist needs somewhere to post about the latest thunderstorm activity in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
4. A Blog of Media and Arts. Having an interest in media and arts (and media arts!) means that Jimmy needs somewhere to post the videos that he’s made as well as yell about the latest Blockbuster movie or whine about his own film-making pursuits.
5. A Blog of Technology. From time to time Jimmy likes to share his opinion on such topics as programming, Linux, Windows, Mac, hacking, networking and general “cool techy things”.

You’ll find categories that reflect these five “mini-blogs” within the larger overall blog, and the five main “super-categories” contain the rest of the categories (although the current theme doesn’t reflect this on the sidebar).

Things that interest me quite a bit (and therefore could/will pop up in the blog every now and again) include: politics, film-making, Hollywood culture, internet culture, weather, climate change, alternative energy, transportation, education theory, personality theory, science theory, theory theory (um, yah, I’m kinda joking on that one), computer science, coding, hacking, writing, digital media, and probably a lot more things as well. I’m not so good at the whole “listing the entire catalog of my interests” thing, so at this point I’m going to tell you to just read the darn blog and you’ll figure out soon enough who I am and what I like. Or you won’t, and it’ll be a very complex mystery. I don’t much care.

Don’t you just love how Jimmy went back and forth between First Person and Third Person throughout the writing of this page? It’s almost like he doesn’t care about the sensibilities of his readers. The editors assure you that this is not the case at all: Jimmy was just kind of bored when he wrote this page; the editors apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to any English majors in the readership and assure you that he understands your plight as both his parents were English majors and it’s rubbed off on him a bit as well.
